Any suggestions on a decent budget Amp for bedroom blues/rock guitar practising?

Posted in blues rock | January 24th, 2010

I am only looking to spend £50-70 on an amp, a mate suggested an Orange Crush 10, he said it had a nice vintage sound and I do want something that sounds quite vintage, any other suggestions tho?

Thanks in advance!!!

I suggest the little Line 6 spider IV practice amp. It has 4 channels, and I believe the crunch channel is right up your alley. It also has effects as well. Very good practice amp for the money. I paid around 100 US dollars new. Believe me, I’m a tube amp fanatic, but for practice and jamming at home, you cant go wrong with it. Good luck.

How to Play Guitar Like Rory Gallagher – Example 1c – Blues Rock Guitar Lessons

Although he’s often excluded from lists and polls that rate the upper echelon of blues-rock guitar heroes, the late, great Rory Gallagher 1948-1995 certainly deserves that honor. Why? Consider the Irish blues-rocker’s pedigree. It includes the formation of rock’s first power trio in 1966 one that would become John Lennon’s favorite band three years later, dethroning Eric Clapton as Melody Maker’s Musician of theYear in 1972, recording with and being asked to join the Rolling Stones as Mick Taylor’s replacement in 1975, and perhaps most important, his emergence as the era’s first Strat cat to eschew Marshall and Hiwatt stacks in favor of small Vox and Fender combo amps. Now you can begin to understandwhyworld-class players from Clapton who credits Gallagher for getting him back into the blues and Brian May who claims he appropriated his sound from R.G. to Johnny Marr and Slash have been singing Gallagher’s praises for up to four decades.

LEARN HOW TO REFINE GOLD AND SELL GOLD FOR MONEY. … http://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/index.php

Robert James Ritchie (born January 17, 1971), known by his stage name Kid Rock, is an American rapper and singer-songwriter with five Grammy Award nominations. Kid Rock is known for his eccentric personality and his music that fuses rap with heavy metal, blues rock, southern rock, funk and country music.

Kid Rock released several studio albums that mostly went unnoticed before his 1998 record Devil Without a Cause, released with Atlantic Records, sold 11 million albums behind the hits, “Bawitdaba”,”Cowboy,” and “Only God Knows Why”. In 2000, he released The History of Rock which was a compilation of remixed and remastered versions of songs from his previous albums as well as the single, “American Bad Ass”. In 2001, he released the follow up, Cocky. After a slow start, his country-flavored hit “Picture” with Sheryl Crow resurrected the album and it went gold as a single and pushed the album’s sales to more than 5 million. It was followed by 2003’s self-titled release, which failed to chart a major hit. In 2006 he released Live Trucker , a live album. In 2007 Kid Rock released Rock N Roll Jesus, which produced a hit in “All Summer Long”. It was his first worldwide smash hit, charting #1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia.[1][2] Rock N Roll Jesus would go on to sell 5 million albums worldwide including being certified triple platinum in the US.

He has sold 22.4 million records in the US according to Nielsen SoundScan, while the RIAA has him certified at 22 million.
